Hymenoplasty
Hymenoplasty, or hymen reconstruction, aims to reconstruct the hymen and recreate it as it was when the patient was a virgin. The question is not whether this act represents the submissiveness of a woman to a regressive tradition or a feminist act enabling women to freely decide about their own bodies.
Whatever the reason for this reconstruction, it can be performed regardless of age and number of sexual intercourses. The surgery is done in a day-care surgery, under general or local anesthesia. The stitches will disappear in 3 weeks but the patient needs to verify it in the case of ritual inspection. The patients can have their first shower one day after the surgery as there is no real pain. An appointment will be planned 3 weeks after the surgery for the surgeon to check the result.
